Adobe Chief Executive Bruce Chizen (pictured) said last week that Acrobat Version 7, which went on sale in January, helped generate record sales for the company, and led to second-quarter profits increasing 37% compared to the second quarter a year ago.
Although a lawsuit has been filed in a California court claiming Adobe management and directors breached their duties in agreeing to acquire Macromedia for $3.4 billion, sales gained 21% to $496 million in the quarter.
"We’re excited about the growth in our business. This is the eighth-consecutive quarter we’ve seen double-digit growth," Chizen said in a statement.
