TIBCO Software issued a press release today announcing their recognition by SD Times in the area of "Mashups."

Well I have no idea why a software company in the middle of the largest recession of our lifetime would focus on "enterprise mashups" as a business model or revenue target.

Mashups of the Web 2.0 era that came and went, taking a number of start-ups with it, is a thing of history.

I also recall seeing a number of news releases from TIBCO on some sort of Cloud Computing initiatives but the story did not sound like it had legs.

The most impressive entry to the cloud market this summer was Unisys.
