.NET News Desk Windows 7 Done, Finished, in the Can
Windows Server 2008 RC2 also RTM’d

Microsoft released Windows 7 Build 7600 to manufacturing Wednesday afternoon, a day ahead of its numbers. Windows Server 2008 RC2 also RTM’d.
Volume licensees without a SA license can start buying it through volume licensing September 1, as previously announced. IT Professionals with TechNet subscription can get it in English on August 6. Ditto developers with MSDN subscriptions. ISVs and IHVs will be able to download the code at Microsoft Connect or MSDN on August 6. Gold and Certified members of Microsoft’s Partner Program will be able to download it in English through the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) portal on August 16. By October 1, the other languages are supposed to be available. Microsoft Action Pack subscribers will be able to download it in English starting August 23 and in other languages October 1. Microsoft also confirmed reports of a Family Pack that will let consumers install Windows 7 Home Premium on three machines. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
