Software giant Oracle has reported strong growth in the Asia-Pacific region, with revenue of $US1.73 billion for the year ended May 2005.
Executive vice-president for Asia-Pacific Derek Williams says it was growing market share in a record year for the company. "Oracle has been very successful when you look at the adoptions across key verticals, including financial services, public sector, communications and manufacturing."
Revenue was up 15 per cent on 2004, with the last quarter showing an increase of 23 per cent. This includes revenue from the hostile takeover of rival PeopleSoft late last year.
