JBoss Plug-in Available On NetBeans 4.1 Beta Update Center
Early Access Version of the Server Plugin for the JBoss 4 Server

The early access version of the server plugin for the JBoss 4 server is now available on the Beta Update Center for NetBeans 4.1.
The features of the plugin include:
- Ability to register a local installation of JBoss 4.0.x
- Starting and stopping the server, basic management features
- Deployment of J2EE Applications, EJB Modules and Web Modules
- Debugging applications in JBoss
- Minimal handling of JBoss-specific deployment descriptors
To download: Select Tools -> Update Center and select NetBeans Update.
NetBeans IDE 4.1 is a full-featured integrated environment for Java application developers. It was released in May 2005 and introduced support for development of applications on the J2EE 1.4 Platform and their deployment to the Sun Java System Application Server 8.1 Platform Edition.
The NetBeans project is an open-source project, so: - The NetBeans Platform and IDE are free for commercial and non- commercial use.
- The source code to both are available to anyone, to reuse as they see fit, under the terms of a license
- Development of the Platform and IDE happen in public. Decisions are made on public mailing lists, by consensus.
- Individuals or companies may contribute code to the project; participation is open to anyone who wishes to participate.
With the exception of content that explicitly specifies the license under which it is made available, the software and other content on this site is licensed under the Sun Public License, which complies with the Open Source Definition. Any third-party binaries included in /external/ directories in the source tree, are licensed under their own terms and conditions.
