Building on the existing BIS² open-standards-based infrastructure, vizMaker’s rich drag-and-drop environment enables BIS² customers and partners to rapidly develop, deploy and configure analytics-based visualization solutions. vizMaker is a flash-based application that enables communication with the back-end services. The editing process is defined in metadata, so specific behaviors such as data layer visibility and pull down lists are configurable. vizMaker includes a number of Helpers to assist with common tasks, including schema import and setup of dimensions and measures. vizMaker utilizes templates that allow rapid deployment of well-designed business visualizations called Super Graphics. The templates are designed using special widgets within a generic framework--these widgets can be combined in creative ways to render sophisticated Super Graphics. vizMaker seamlessly integrates database processing functions such as spatial joins between tables or buffering functions.
