Cosmetic surgeons at nationwide Mybreast say that 15 years ago it was extremely rare for any surgery to be performed as a day case. However, as surgical technologies and anaesthetics have advanced, faster recovery times have followed. "Improved surgical techniques and more sophisticated anaesthesia have
made it possible to speed up recovery time," says Sojitra performs many of his breast enlargement operations as day cases and says: "Patients prefer to rest at home, instead of being in a medical institution, and with the correct patient care it's safe for an earlier release." Emma Abbess chose to have her breast enlargement in The 24-year-old said: "I'm a nurse, so the last place I wanted to spend a lot of time in is another hospital." "I wanted to be at home afterwards and I had my partner to look after me. I went home just a couple of hours after the operation and I felt fine, other than a bit of pain, which is to be expected." Seven years ago, approximately one in 50 breast augmentations across the UK were performed as day case operations. Now, about one in every 15 patients who undergo breast augmentation is able to leave the hospital the same day, instead of having to stay in hospital overnight. Mybreast was founded by some of the UK's leading cosmetic surgeons to create a company that specialised in breast surgery and, after much success, now offers all cosmetic procedures. The company differs from other commercial cosmetic surgery groups in that
it provides surgeons who are all members of the British Association of
Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and/or the British Association of Plastic
Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).; these are the two
organisations in the UK recognised by the Department of Health and Mybreast also offer a lifetime aftercare policy and Lifetime Warranty Cards that cover their implants for both rupture and capsular contracture. Latest Cloud Developer Stories
