Macromedia Launches Studio 8. LinuxWorld Expo opens in San Francisco
Aug. 8, 2005 11:00 AM
Macromedia
has made the most significant product announcement in its history. The new
Studio 8 software suite combines the latest releases of Dreamweaver, Flash Professional, Fireworks, Contribute, and FlashPaper. The
LinuxWorld Expo Conference and Exhibition opens today in San Francisco, with an
estimated 11,000 developers expected to attend. Novell will
be open-sourcing its SuSE Linux. OpenSuSe, as it is called, is intended to push
Linux into more mainstream usability, so it can be easily installed and
deployed by "non-technical" users. Novell has also announced
the appointment of Susan Heystee as
president, Novell North America. Siebel Systems plans to join the Novell enterprise
open-source bandwagon, announcing at LinuxWorld that it will port its business
applications to Novell’s Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
