Google Exec Gets Googled. Microsoft Gets Paid

Google has reportedly frozen out internet news company
CNET's reporters, in response to a recent CNET article in which personal
information about Google CEO Eric Schmidt was revealed. A team from Sunbelt Software has discovered a massive
identity theft ring stemming from the notorious CoolWebSearch spyware program. So-called "spam king" Scott
Richter has paid Microsoft $7 million, which Microsoft will use to investigate
spam abuse and to help community centers in New York state. Macromedia’s major product announcement continues to
reverberate, with the company’s CFO making a major presentation today at the
