SOA Software XML VPN Receives IBM Tivoli Validation
XML VPN Version 4.3 and IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager Provide Security Solution

IBM has validated SOA Software's XML VPN product as WS-Trust "Ready for IBM Tivoli Software."
The combined solution provided by the SOA Software XML VPN and IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager allows customers to easily exchange secure B2B transactions sharing end-user identities in a trusted manner.

This validation is the result of SOA Software's work to use the WS-Trust standard to integrate with IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager (TFIM) to allow businesses to share customer-centric applications.

SOA Software has worked with IBM to achieve this validation in response to requests from existing and prospective customers for end-to-end federated authentication, authorization and auditing for partner Web services.

The primary business value is the ability to provide inter-partner trusted single-sign-on for Web services applications.  This means that a customer can register third-party identifiers with a trusted party (their bank, or other financial services provider, for example), and can then use these identifiers to request services directly from the places they conduct
business.
