Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Great Sound Doesn't Need Much Space; The New PX 100-II and PX 200-II From Sennheiser

OLD LYME, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 11/19/09 -- Simply switch on your MP3 player, unfold your headphones and you're ready to listen. With the second generation of the popular Sennheiser PX 100 and PX 200 foldable headphones, you can enjoy top-quality sound anywhere, anytime.

"The PX 100-II and the PX 200-II have powerful transducers with neodymium magnets that ensure a clear and natural sound reproduction and a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.1 percent," said Ivan Kuan, senior product manager for consumer electronics at Sennheiser's global headquarters in Wedemark, Germany. "In recent years, there have been tremendous further developments in the technology -- and therefore in the sound quality -- of portable MP3 players such as iPods*. For that reason, music lovers should choose those headphones that also make this progress audible."

Mini headphones in a class of their own

The PX 100-II is a dynamic mini headphone with an open design and, just like its predecessor model, guarantees natural sound reproduction with powerful bass performance. Its frequency response ranges from 15 to 27,000 Hertz.

The PX 200-II is ideally suited for use in noisy surroundings. Its closed design effectively reduces external noise, letting you listen to music in peace without being disturbed -- and without disturbing others. Improved ear pads also offer a comfortable "seal" against ambient noise. Its frequency response extends from 10 to 21,000 Hertz for the perfect sound experience on the go.

With their comfortably padded, on-the-ear cushions, the PX 100-II and PX 200-II can provide music enjoyment for hours on end. A four-foot long, single-sided cable offers generous freedom of movement, even if your player is in your pocket. The PX 200-II also includes an in-line volume control for quick and convenient adjustments.

Amazing sound, amazingly compact

The PX 100-II and PX 200-II not only offer outstanding acoustic properties, but the foldable mini headphones are also amazingly compact. The clever 'fold and flip' design means that you simply close the headband and fold in the ear cups to pack away into the included storage pouch.

A steel-reinforced headband and sturdy metal joints provide the headphones with the necessary strength and durability for even the toughest everyday use. And when they are folded away, you can take them anywhere. After all, great sound doesn't need much space.

The PX 100-II and the PX 200-II are available online and in stores. Choose from black or white.

PX 100-II - Street price: $69.95 (MSRP: $89.95)

PX 200-II - Street price: $89.95 (MSRP: $119.95)
