What is a SatNav? I would define it as a small pocket sized computer, with a built-in GPS receiver, running navigational software on a lightweight but efficient Operating System. Indispensable in today's age, but adding to the number of small technological marvels that need to be carried on your person. Unless you have a utility belt or do not worry about carrying a rucksack, then it won't be an issue.

Just to renew my call... one thing I would mind carrying around as a separate device would be a small mobile printer... check out I have got the Ultimate Mobile Device... now just for one small step further

Now with TomTom already shipping TomTom Navigator for iPhone via Apple's AppStore, I'm getting to think that the need for me to carry a separate dedicated device is all but gone! I know there are other navigational software apps available, but in my personal opinion TomTom is the standard that others strive to reach

If you have followed my blogs on the Information Worker and My World for a Cable!, you would already be aware of the needs and time saving features of a CMD (Converged Mobile Device or Smartphone) and my goal of taking the minimal amounts of hardware around with me, on a daily basis. In fact now the iPhone is such a magnificent mobile weapon in the Information Workers hand. Traveling light, but fully capable as they go!

Now then... What is a SatNav? I would define it as an small pocket sized computer iPhone, with a its built-in GPS receiver, running navigational software on a lightweight but efficient Operating System the iPhone OS.

The iPhone is definitely changing this Mobile Evangelist's daily life... one step at a time!
