Target® Unveils Super Savings on HDTVs for Game Day with Zero-Percent Financing

Target is offering huge savings just in time for the big game—from electronics to refreshments and everything in between. Starting this Sunday, save up to $200 on select TVs, including a Magnavox 42” 1080p LCD for only $499. In addition, Target guests who purchase any 32-inch or larger TV with a REDcard credit account between January 31 and February 6 can choose to receive zero-percent introductory financing until September 2010.*

Time to replace the big, old TV? A recent survey by the Consumer Electronics Association shows that one half of U.S. consumers intend to buy a HDTV for their next television.** Target is making this switch easier than ever—coupling new expert TV delivery, set-up and recycling of old TVs with astounding low prices and zero-percent financing.

“We’re making value and convenience our top priority for our guests. With this new financing offer, guests can save big on great name brand TVs such as a Magnavox 42” 1080p LCD for only $499,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president of Merchandising, Target.

  • Vizio 55-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV on sale for $1,299 (savings of more than $200)
  • Philips 47-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV on sale for $848 (savings of more than $130)
  • Vizio 37-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV on sale for $629 (savings of more than $70)
  • Sylvania 32-inch class 720p LCD HDTV on sale for $299 (savings of more than $60)
  • Sylvania 19-inch class 720p LCD HDTV on sale for $149 (savings of more than $20)

With Target’s professional TV delivery and installation starting at $99, it’s easier than ever to get in the game. The new service ensures professional set-up for TV purchases at Target stores nationwide. For one week only, Target is offering zero-percent introductory financing until September 2010 on the purchase of a 32-inch or larger TV on a REDcard credit account.* REDcard guests receive many additional ongoing benefits including the opportunity to earn certificates for a 10-percent-off shopping day and the option to enroll in the Take Charge of Education program. Through Take Charge of Education, Target donates up to 1 percent of guests’ REDcard purchase amounts to the K-12 school of the guest’s choice.
