It's initially available only to RackSpace’s hosted e-mail customers

Rackspace has launched what it calls a hassle-free hosted version of SharePoint, Microsoft’s collaboration and file-sharing platform, which means its suite of cloud applications now includes business-class collaboration, e-mail and storage. It’s initially available only to RackSpace’s hosted e-mail customers, with a standalone product to follow. There’s a 14-day free trial and the first 250MB of storage is free. More costs 10 bucks a month per gigabyte. A control panel lets administrators initiate SharePoint, add and remove users and create SharePoint sites in a few steps. The dashboard also manages the company’s Email & Apps suite of applications, including hosted Microsoft Exchange, Rackspace Email, Email Archiving and Rackspace Cloud Drive and Server Backup. Rackspace also offers Dedicated SharePoint through its managed services division for customers who want more customization or control. Dedicated SharePoint is a single-tenant solution, supported by certified Rackspace SharePoint engineers who design, deploy, customize and manage the solution.
