WebTrends Launches WebPosition 4
Offers Combined Organic and Paid Search Marketing Analytics
Sep. 13, 2005 08:00 AM
WebTrends Inc., the global web analytics leader, launched WebPosition 4, which now offers all of the insight necessary to optimize a web site's relevancy with search engines and achieve higher organic search positions, the company says.
The reporting environment in WebPosition 4 has been completely redesigned, introducing a dashboard view of critical metrics, enhanced visibility reports on paid and organic engines, and new trending capabilities. Marketers can now easily view performance over time for specific keywords and their overall search marketing effort with the Keyword Visibility Index -- a high-level metric that shows a site's overall visibility for all of its targeted keywords and search engines.
WebPosition 4 also offers link popularity and site search engine saturation reports, providing insight into the essential off-site factors that influence organic search positions. Site saturation measures how much of a site's content is actually published in search engines' results pages, not just spidered by the engines, while link popularity determines how many links from other sites point to a web site.
Combined with WebPosition's expert on-site optimization advice through its Page Critic Service and acclaimed organic and paid search engine visibility reporting, marketers have everything they need to understand how web sites perform for targeted keywords and what can be done to achieve higher organic search positions on each of the major search engines, according to the company.
