We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Radio IP Software and Day Wireless Partner to Provide Mobile VPN Solution for South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority
Radio IP Software Signs on Value-Added Resellers within Company's Channel Sales Program

MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 03/08/10 -- Radio IP Software, Inc., leader in mission-critical and business-critical mobile data connectivity solutions, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Day Wireless Systems, a leading wireless integrator covering the states of California, Oregon and Washington. The company has also signed with Racom, a wireless integrator covering the upper midwest territory, including the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and Illinois.

Radio IP Software is working with Day Wireless on a mobile data project at the South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority (SBRPCA), a joint powers authority owned by the Cities of Gardena, Hawthorne and Manhattan Beach. The SBRPCA provides contract dispatch to the City of Hermosa Beach and mobile data services to the City of Palos Verdes Estates, El Camino College and Compton Educational Center. The organization processes approximately 290,000 police and fire incidents annually in Southern California's South Bay region.

Primarily operating on Sprint EV-DO cellular technology, the SBRPCA initially deployed Radio IP MTG™ on 200 field computing devices to achieve secure, reliable access to mission-critical data for the City of Hawthorne Police Department and other member agencies. Mobile applications used include dispatch, GPS, AVL and interactive mobile maps giving officers timely access to the critical information necessary to perform their jobs. Meanwhile, Radio IP MTG ensures that application sessions are maintained even when the system roams to the other IPMobileNet network or when coverage is periodically down. The software also ensures that all data is sent using FIPS 140-2 compliant, 256-bit AES encryption.

"Not only were we impressed by the speeds that we were hitting on the Sprint EV-DO network, thanks to Radio IP MTG's compression feature, but is was also crucial for us that the Mobile VPN's security levels facilitated our compliance with the FBI's CJIS Security Policy. The software did everything it was supposed to do and the deployment process was simple and painless," said Jose Rivera, Technical Services Manager at SBRPCA.

Day Wireless is a wireless integrator that services a multi-statewide mission-critical customer base, primarily in the public safety and utility sectors. With 26 locations, the company's expertise resides in both IT and LMR (land mobile radio). Day Wireless is currently expanding its mobile data business via agreements with cellular carriers.

"Radio IP Software's Mobile VPN solutions are a unique way to complement and differentiate our product portfolio because they represent the intersection of our radio business and our carrier business. The solutions bring interoperability to the customer, no matter what network technologies are deployed. Because of their attractive cost-benefit proposition, the solutions are easy to sell and easy to deploy, generating additional sales for our company and attracting new customers," said Mike Ishida, Director of Sales at Day Wireless.

"We welcome our partners Day Wireless and Racom to our VAR program. The winning combination of a solid Mobile VPN product and a reputable service-oriented company having a local presence towards the customer was the formula to our impressive sales success rate on Day Wireless projects," said Mike Bourre, Vice President of Sales at Radio IP Software.

Radio IP Software is presently assigning its other full-state and multi-state geographic territories across North America to local VARs. Wireless integrators holding carrier agreements and operating in the mission-critical segment who are interested in reselling Radio IP Software's Mobile VPN solutions are encouraged to reach out to the company and visit its booth (#9061) at IWCE.
