"Show me the money," says Zuora CEO Tien Tzuo as he prepares to present his session at Cloud Expo at the Javits Center in New York. Tien's session will be held from 4:40-5:25pm on Monday, April 19, and is entitled "Getting from SaaS to $aa$."
"The next wave of Internet innovation is coming with cloud-based business models," he writes. "Are you interested in best practices to monetize cloud-based services? Learn how to manage, scale and grow subscription businesses with online billing & payments solutions, revealed in lessons learned."
"It's time to start thinking about how to grow and monetize, bringing the next generation of subscription businesses to the consumer market," he continues. "Consider this: manual billing systems use valuable employee time better spend on product development. The new face of Web-based business models support innovation and changes to company pricing plans, allowing for flexibility and quick implementation."
Tien Tzuo joined Zuora after 9 years at salesforce.com. Tien was one of the “original forces” at salesforce.com, which he joined in 1999 as the 11th employee, when the company was still operating out of a house on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco.
In his 9 years at salesforce.com, Tzuo built salesforce.com’s original billing system and held a variety of executive roles in salesforce.com’s technology, marketing, and strategy organizations, including building out the product management & marketing organization, serving as Chief Marketing Officer for two years, and most recently as Chief Strategy Officer.
