Adds the Capability to Supply Custom Separator and Quote Chars
By: Open Source News
Oct. 8, 2005 10:00 PM
Glen Smith, the developer of opencsv has announced the release of version 1.0 of csv parser library opencsv. Talking about the release on his blog, Smith says, "Ending my obsession with all things comma-delimited, I've deployed 1.0 final of opencsv to Sourceforge. This version adds the capability to supply custom separator and quote chars, and pretty much rounds out everything I want to do with CSV. "
opencsv was initally developed because current CSV parsers don't have commercial-friendly licenses. Incidentally, Smith developed opencsv in a couple of hours. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
