Bharat Gears Pact with Ramco Systems for ERP Solutions
Ramco Enterprise Series to Drive the Auto Component Major

Ramco Systems, a global provider of enterprise solutions has announced a customer order win with Bharat Gears Ltd., a premier company of automotive components segment to adopt the Ramco Enterprise Series, a state-of-the-art web architected and componentized ERP solution delivered using cutting-edge technology. Bharat Gears will by implementing the Discrete Manufacturing suite comprising of Financials, Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchase, Sales and Human Resource Management System at the manufacturing facilities and zonal offices.

Commenting on this recent success, Mr. Chetan Pathak, Head - Sales & Marketing- India Operations, Ramco Systems said, “We are very excited about expanding our customer base in auto components segment. With the Ramco Enterprise Series, Bharat Gears will have a well-integrated system to streamline their transactions across their manufacturing facilities and regional offices to meet the growing demands and requirements of a global customer. Further Bharat Gears was convinced with the productivity tools of the Ramco Enterprise Series, which would give them the power to adapt the product to changing business needs in the future.”

Mr. Sameer Kanwar, Executive Director – Strategic Planning, Bharat Gears on selecting Ramco said, “We are looking at this as a major business initiative which shall enable us to reiterate our position as leading gear manufacturer in India. We feel that to keep pace with fast changing IT environment, Ramco Enterprise Series based on Ramco VirtualWorks® platform is most suitable solution for our needs and shall prepare us to meet the future business challenges.”

The first phase of implementation would cover Bharat Gear’s manufacturing facility at Mumbra near Mumbai. The second phase of implementation would cover rollout at Faridabad Plant and four of its zonal offices. Bharat Gears Ltd also plans to implement Ramco DecisionWorks for corporate performance management. The complete solution would be delivered on Microsoft platform and the project is expected to be complete by 31st March 2006.
