Similar is the case with managed multi Cloud hosting. You can very well understand how a big burden it would be to manage multi cloud servers for organization; this is why a service known as managed multi Cloud is provided to these users. This service ensures them the seam less running of their system administrative operations while organizations focus more on t...

SensorLogic Announces One-Step Asset Tracking

SensorLogic, Inc., the leading provider of platform and application software for Cloud-based Asset Visibility solutions, today announced that application developers can now easily create asset tracking applications by simply cutting and pasting two lines of JavaScript code from any of its pre-built Widgets onto any Web page. This single step, best-of-breed capability enables systems integrators, software vendors and any application developer to create powerful asset tracking applications, involving any business asset, quickly and easily. Available immediately, as part of Cirrus, the company’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for asset tracking applications, the new Widget enhancements accelerate the tracking of assets far beyond any other platform on the market today, while ensuring developer control and investment protection.

“Cirrus is architected to dramatically accelerate the deployment of an asset tracking application, while ensuring that the developer retains complete control over building an app specific to their business need,” said John McNulty, CTO and vice president of development at SensorLogic. “Cirrus supports any Web-based development environment, Web services APIs and complex event and business logic, enabling the development and deployment of powerful, asset tracking applications, no matter how complex the business process.”

Cirrus supports a full complement of prebuilt Widgets, including maps, radial and polygonal geofences, dashboards and devices. By cutting and pasting JavaScript code onto any Web page, the developer is able to create an asset tracking application quickly, providing a solution that addresses common business problems ranging from retail goods shrinkage to cargo theft and fleet vehicle loss. According to FreightWatch International, asset losses from theft are more than $50 billion worldwide.

The latest version of Cirrus supports the following examples of new Widgets enhancements:

  • Freeform and Radial Geofences – drag and draw any geography from service areas to a campus to territories; or create a radial geofence
  • View all Assets – a comprehensive view of all assets tracked in a defined area
  • Map and Data Dashboard Views – comprehensive views of location, status and metrics associated with assets
  • Alarm and Alerts Views and History – view alarms, alerts and their associated operating status and history, down to specific security asset details
  • Current Info Status – current info status and reported operating metrics for assets
  • Reporting Widgets – On Demand and scheduled reports of tracked assets

Each of the Widgets can be easily changed through style sheets or Web Services, while the Cirrus platform supports extending the application to include multi-modal events and business logic specific to the asset being tracked. For example, multi-modal events, involving possible route deviation, unscheduled stops, unauthorized access or changes in environmental conditions that may impact a business process and cause risk of loss, can be developed, tracked and monitored. Further integration of the asset tracking application through Web Services APIs, into ERP, supply management or distribution systems provide enterprise asset visibility that leads to more efficient manufacturing and distribution processes and higher customer satisfaction.

The SensorLogic Cirrus Platform is available immediately with subscription plans that allow customers to create low risk deployments that produce immediate return-on-investment.
