Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

MFORMA Launches X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse Mobile Game
New Action Game for Mobile, Based on Marvel's X-Men Super Heroes and Activision's Console Game of the Same Name, Pits the Powerf

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- MFORMA, world-leading mobile entertainment publisher and distributor, has released X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse to mobile users everywhere. The sequel to the best-selling X- Men title, X-Men Legends, X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is produced in collaboration with Marvel and Activision and is based on Activision's console game. The mobile version incorporates the popular features of the console version, including the ability for gamers to create Super Hero dream teams featuring popular X-Men and classic Brotherhood villains, and earn experience points to upgrade and customize the characters' levels and powers to unleash brutal attacks on enemies.

In the intriguing storyline of X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, the X-Men must unite with their sworn enemies, the Brotherhood, to overcome the ultimate evil -- Apocalypse -- and prevent one of the most devastating attacks ever against mankind. Players must not only choose weapons and plan attacks, but build teams including both X-Men and Brotherhood mutants and strategically combine their various skills to the greatest effect. Players can choose from all-time favorite X-Men heroes Wolverine, Cyclops, and Storm, as well as Brotherhood mutants Magneto and Juggernaut with each character offering his own unique mutant abilities such as Wolverine's berserker frenzy, Juggernaut's devastating ground attacks, Magneto's magnetic force fields, and Cyclops' deadly eye beams. Players who conquer Apocalypse in the mobile version have the chance to win a cheat code for use in the console version of X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse to unlock concept art used in creating the game.

"X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is a truly exceptional mobile game," said Brian Selzer, MFORMA's senior director for Marvel Mobile. "It is true to the gripping story that is the X-Men comic book legend, and it features some of the most fantastic animation ever in a mobile game. The game cleverly combines the instant gratification of an action game with the deeper elements of a role-playing or strategy game. Also, the ability to acquire experience points to improve powers and attacks is executed extremely well and makes for long lasting-fun and variety. X-Men fans will love this game."

"MFORMA has done a great job transferring elements of Activision's X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse console game to a mobile device," said David Anderson, senior vice president of business development, Activision. "There is also a direct tie-in for players to win a cheat code to use in the console game upon defeating Apocalypse in the mobile game. The two games complement each other in many ways, which adds more interest and excitement for users."

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse challenges players to explore 15 levels set in action-packed environments such as Genosha, Infinite Factory, Egypt, and the Savage Lands. Players can easily switch between characters and access the skills menu in the pause screen to check out new abilities characters to unlock and use.

"X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse has great replay value," added Selzer. "Unlocking all the different abilities of the characters is not only rewarding, but becomes a compelling challenge that players will want to do for every X-Men character."

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is now being released in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Please visit http://www.marvelmobile.com/ for more information about availability and pricing
