Silverlight News Desk Shared Web Hosting and E-commerce Provider GlobalWebBrands Switches Partners
Increases Focus on the Small and Medium-sized Businesses
Feb. 8, 2006 08:30 PM
Shared Web host and e-commerce provider GlobalWebBrands announced on Thursday it has launched its new Web site, along with a range of new services. The changes reflect the company’s shift in both its business model and direction, as it moves to a new Web hosting partner. The company has increased its focus on the small and medium-sized businesses, while also raising its prices and moving its services upmarket. Major services now offered include Web hosting, e-commerce consulting packages that include Web hosting, site design, and search engine optimization, Web site design, logo design, and search marketing. "We have moved upmarket, and because of this, our prices [on other services] have risen," says GlobalWebBrands CEO Daniel J. Briere. "Therefore, we are keeping globalwebbrands.com as our Web hosting gateway, but we offer many other high-level services to our local clients and to those who we make contact with." GlobalWebBrands switched Web hosting partners because of escalating tension between GlobalWebBrands and its previous partner. The company has moved to a new provider, enabling existing clients the chance to switch. In the coming months, GlobalWebBrands plans to sell its iZoka division and brandname.
