"One of the biggest concerns for enterprises considering public cloud services is the notion that they are inherently unsecure," writes Jeremy Geelan in advance of the 8th International Cloud Expo, to be held June 6-9 at the Javits Center in New York.
Jeremy, who serves as Conference Chair and is President and COO of Cloud Expo Inc., has put together a panel of four industry leaders to address this topic, in a session entitled, "Cloud Networking: Turning Security Upside Down."
Panel members include Eric Chiu, President and Co-Founder of HyTrust; John Rowell, CTO and SVP of Operations at OpSource; Jim French, a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco; CloudSwitch CEO John McEleney; and Dave Asprey, VP of Cloud Security at Trend Micro. The session will be held Wednesday, June 8, at 2:25pm.
As Jeremy says, "Many cloud implementations treat security as an afterthought - layering it on top of the virtualization server. A more secure solution is a multi-layer approach - building a series of security layers that begin at the base of the network and protect an organization's assets to the service layer."
