The Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC) will welcome Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientist from The PTR Group, Mike Anderson, at the Hilton / Orange County Airport Hotel on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Mr. Anderson is slated to present a luncheon Keynote entitled, “The New Normal for Consumer User Interfaces.” His talk goes to the heart of today’s users wanting a rich, touch-enabled UI with connectivity and “apps” to feel they are getting their money’s worth. He will illustrate system design on how to increase perceived value to users through front-ends to products, such as Android.
RTECC will travel south to the San Diego Marriott La Jolla Hotel on Thursday with distinguished speaker, Dr. Mohit Kaushal, EVP of Business Development and Chief Strategy Officer for the West Wireless Health Institute delivering his presentation, “The Imperative for Innovation.” Dr. Kaushal outlines new wireless technology that will enable better health outcomes at a lower cost; reaching people long before acute care is needed. Take a look at where healthcare is heading and why mobile health technologies (as stand-alone gadgets) are not the answer. Find out what is the answer on August 25, 2011. RTECC is co-located with the new MEDS–Medical Electronic Device Solutions Conference.
Focused to software and hardware engineers and managers, CTOs, consultants and analysts, RTECCs and MEDS/San Diego are free to attend. Guest badge access includes exhibits, product demos and new technology showcase, technical breakout seminars in addition to the Keynote Address. Those wanting to attend RTECC in Irvine or San Diego are encouraged to pre-register for rapid badge pick-up upon arrival. Pre-registration for MEDS (MEDS is in San Diego only) is also recommended. Walk-in guests are welcome and can register on-site.
Market segments at RTECC events include: industrial control / automation, military & aerospace, telecommunications/telephony, vehicular control and maintenance, consumer electronics, data communications, process control, embedded appliances and more. MEDS is a gathering of vendors and peers coming together on a myriad of solutions to power the next era of healthcare – from home diagnostics to institutional healthcare imaging.
