Jinfonet Software, Composite Solutions Partnership offer Java Based JReport OnDemand Integration
New Solution To Expand Customer's Ability To View And Analyze Data In Real Time

Jinfonet Software, the provider of embeddable reporting solutions for enterprise applications and maker of JReport embedded reporting solution for Java applications, and Composite Software, the provider of on-demand data integration, announced that the companies have partnered to offer a new joint solution: JReport OnDemand Integration. The companies will co-market and co-sell the new reporting solution with out-of-the-box information integration capabilities.

The new jointly developed product addresses customers’ demand for embedded reporting and operational business intelligence for all types of applications and systems. Virtually all applications benefit from improved reporting and data presentation, and through the partnership between the leader in Java-based reporting and the leader in enterprise information integration (EII), customers will have access to a powerful reporting solution that can be tightly integrated with data sources throughout their organizations.

JReport OnDemand Integration allows reports to be created based on information distributed throughout an organization. Composite’s software pulls information from traditional data sources such as databases and packaged applications and, importantly, from countless other structured and semi-structured data sources including XML, Excel spreadsheets, flat files and Web services.

Composite’s offering creates a unified abstraction layer for data across a company, allowing the data to be correlated regardless of which application it comes from. It presents “live” data from different sources as if the data exists in a single place. Complementary to a data warehouse, EII appears as a virtual database – transparently generating queries to multiple sources behind the scenes and combining information appropriately as it is returned. The benefits are more flexibility, unlimited detail and always-current data.

By using the combination of EII with sophisticated embedded reporting, customers can create reports based on information that spans multiple applications and sources, allowing a more comprehensive picture of business operations. With the growing number of data sources in today’s IT environment, data integration is an ever-important requirement.

“Today’s fast-paced businesses must have access to data that depicts an accurate picture of the current business conditions,” said John Gularson, executive vice president for Jinfonet Software. “The ability to easily report on information from wherever it exists throughout the enterprise is revolutionary. Data is no longer confined to single applications – it spans applications and can be used across organizations to allow for strong business decision-making.”
