Major Newspapers Syndicate First Blog Content Via BlogBurst Built on Web 2.0 Technology
Increased Blog Exposure Now Attainable Through Traditional Media Outlets; Blog Count is 1,000

Pluck Corporation, a social media technology pioneer, has announced that several major newspapers, including The San Francisco Chronicle, The Houston Chronicle, The San Antonio Express-News and the Austin American-Statesman, began syndicating and displaying high-quality blog content from the BlogBurst syndication network on their web sites. BlogBurst, the industry's first blog syndication service linking new and traditional media with a blog-powered newswire service, now includes more than 1,000 activated and available blog sources. Pluck helps its customers leverage the new open content model that has emerged as the cornerstone of Web 2.0.

"Our readers enjoy the new perspectives that blogs can bring to local information and hot topics such as travel, health & fitness, technology & gadgets, and food & entertainment," said Peter Negulescu, vice president of Digital Media at SFGate.com, The San Francisco Chronicle's online media property. "Working with Pluck's BlogBurst, we're able to easily tap into a wide variety of talent and fresh content from across the web, delivering an unprecedented breadth of content to our readers."

More than 15 million unique visitors per month turn to live BlogBurst sites SFGate.com, Statesman.com, Chron.com and MySanAntonio.com for the latest news, entertainment and commercial information. With the addition of syndicated blog content from BlogBurst, visitors to these sites can enjoy an expanded perspective on a variety of topics. Bloggers are rewarded with increased exposure and reader traffic through attribution and links back to their blogs.

Areas of these web sites where visitors can see BlogBurst in action include:
-- www.chron.com/tech

"Being syndicated through BlogBurst has provided a wonderful opportunity to draw in new readers and provide significant exposure to Accidental Hedonist," said Kate Hopkins, author of the popular food and travel blog Accidental Hedonist. "BlogBurst gives me the chance to be read by people who typically don't read blogs."

Publishers and bloggers who want to syndicate stories via the new BlogBurst service can learn more on the BlogBurst website.
