HotLink® Corporation, the market leader in transformation solutions for heterogeneous virtualization management, today announced the newest release of its flagship product, HotLink SuperVISOR™ for VMware. First launched at VMworld 2011, the HotLink SuperVISOR platform is the only solution to extend VMware® vCenter™ to natively support other hypervisors. The new HotLink SuperVISOR for VMware 1.5 builds on this pioneering technology to deliver advanced features of VMware vCenter, including live migration (e.g. vMotion™), to cross-platform virtual infrastructures spanning Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (KVM). Users can now benefit from the robust capabilities of VMware vCenter across their entire virtual environment, using their existing VMware management console. “As enterprises increase their deployment of multi-hypervisor environments, cross-platform management needs become more sophisticated, and a unified management approach is more important than ever,” said Lynn LeBlanc, CEO and founder of HotLink. “With the new release of HotLink SuperVISOR for VMware, we are providing the robustness needed to support critical workloads in a heterogeneous, dynamic environment. Ultimately, datacenters need tools that enable a consistent approach to managing all virtual workloads, and HotLink SuperVISOR for VMware 1.5 delivers exactly that – all inside VMware vCenter.” New capabilities in HotLink SuperVISOR for VMware 1.5 include:
“Virtualization has played a major role in increasing the utilization and availability of the servers used to support BMC’s product development efforts,” said Mark Settle, CIO of BMC Software. “We have been impressed by the ability that HotLink SuperVISOR affords in leveraging multiple hypervisor platforms while still standardizing day-to-day operations. The new HotLink capabilities should be of interest to any IT organization seeking to drive operational and cost efficiencies in a multiple hypervisor environment.” Hands-On with HotLink SuperVISOR at Microsoft Management Summit, Citrix Synergy and Interop HotLink will be showcasing HotLink SuperVISOR for VMware 1.5 and its full suite of capabilities at upcoming industry events, including the Microsoft Management Summit, April 16 – 20, Las Vegas in Booth 632 and Citrix Synergy, May 9 – 11, San Francisco in Booth 617.
