Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Victory Ventures Signs Contract for IP Survey on Copau Claims

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/30/12 -- Victory Ventures Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:VVN)(FRANKFURT:VV0) reports that it has signed a contract with Frontier Geosciences Inc. of North Vancouver, B.C. to carry out a geophysical survey, using the Induced Polarization (IP) method, of geological conditions on the Company's Copau Claims (the "Claims") in northwestern British Columbia. The work is to be carried out on approximately 12 lines on 100 to 200 metre centers, for a total of about 10 line kilometres. The project is scheduled to begin in late spring, depending on weather conditions in the area.

The Claims are partially surrounded by claims owned by Imperial Metals Corporation, which is developing the Red Chris copper deposit for production, approximately 11 kilometers to the south. Imperial Metals' production project is aimed to coincide with the completion of the Northwest Transmission Line in early 2014.

The Claims have been explored in the past. Mapping by the BC Geological Survey in 1994 led to the discovery of the B31 copper showing, in which magnetite, chalcopyrite and lesser pyrite occur in proximity to fractures and cataclastic microstructures within a small syenitic stock. A magnetometer survey by the Optionor outlined a prominent magnetic anomaly trending northwestward from the showing. The property, which has not been drilled, is prospective for alkalic copper gold porphyry or skarn hosted copper gold mineralization.
