Black Box Network Services (NASDAQ:BBOX), a leading communications system integrator dedicated to designing, sourcing, implementing and maintaining today’s complex communications solutions, today announced that it was awarded a delivery order contract under the IMOD contract, in support of Program Manager Installation Information Infrastructure – Communications and Capabilities (“PM I3C2”) in Korea. The Program Directorate for Korea Transformation (PD-KT) reports to PM I3C2 and is responsible for the management of the Yongsan Relocation Plan Land Partnership Plan Increment 1 (YRP/LPP) C4I program. This project encompasses engineering, installation, securing, testing of C4I systems, and systems integration activities in support of The United States Army Garrison – Yongsan relocation. Black Box will be responsible for providing, relocating, and implementing a multitude of state-of-the-art C4I communications systems without mission interruptions. The contract, awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Rock Island, has a ceiling value of $97.3 Million.

“We are honored to have been selected by the U.S. Army as the industry partner for the Yongsan Relocation Plan throughout the Republic of Korea,” stated Jeff Murray, Federal Division Senior Vice President and General Manager for Black Box. “This project is exceedingly complex due to the size and scale of the program, as well as the U.S. Army and Republic of Korea joint forces requirements. We look forward to delivering a high level of service in support of this mission-critical program.”

“Black Box will lead a diverse team of industry partners with some of the best capabilities in the industry toward successful implementation of the Yongsan Relocation Program,” added Jim Oehlerking, Vice President Asia Pacific Federal Operations.
