Dynamic Duo Brian Maloney and Marjorie Fox to Spearhead Ogilvy PR's US Consumer Marketing Practice

Maloney & Fox Co-founders Join Ogilvy PR in Dual Consumer Leadership Roles

NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, announced today that Brian Maloney and Margie Fox, co-founders and co-CEOs of Maloney & Fox, have been appointed Managing Directors of Ogilvy PR's US Consumer Marketing Practice. Additionally, Ms. Fox takes on the role of US Creative Director for the Consumer Practice and Mr. Maloney will serve as New York Consumer Marketing Group Head. Both will be based in New York and begin their new roles at Ogilvy PR in early 2013.

Margie Fox and Brian Maloney worked at Ogilvy early in their careers. They later founded their own public relations firm "Maloney & Fox" in 1997, which was acquired by the Seattle based technology firm Waggener Edstrom in 2003. The pair built their creative-focused agency from the ground-up into a leading communications powerhouse that was recently named one of the top 50 companies to work for in New York City by Crain's New York Business Magazine and Small Agency of the Year by The Bulldog Reporter

During their 15-year stewardship, Ms. Fox and Mr. Maloney led Maloney & Fox to nearly 100 international and national awards in categories of media relations, video production, graphic arts, events and strategic marketing campaigns and served leading brands including, Mercedes-Benz, Tupperware, Microsoft, Shutterfly, LinkedIn, RCA, MSN, World Financial Center (Brookfield Properties), Glenfiddich and T-Mobile, to name a few.

Reporting to Ogilvy PR's President, Global Consumer Marketing and Chief Creative Officer, Purpose Branding, Mitch Markson, Ms. Fox and Mr. Maloney will together counsel and lead the US Consumer Marketing Practice to develop integrated and ground-breaking campaigns for both the agency's existing and future client roster. In addition, Ms. Fox will work closely to drive creativity in consumer across Ogilvy PR's US offices and Mr. Maloney will also manage New York's consumer team, including client service, financial oversight and personnel management.

"In less than six months, Ogilvy PR has hugely ramped up its commitment to the consumer marketing practice with the hiring of global head Mitch Markson, previously with Edelman," noted Ogilvy PR Global CEO Christopher Graves, "followed by this major addition of two new entrepreneurial leaders."

Mr. Maloney and Ms. Fox are primed to serve existing clients including Ford, Mexico Tourism Board, American Express, Virgin America and Guinness Storehouse along with recent new business wins including AOR for Darden Restaurant's Specialty Restaurant Group, Fiji Tourism and Air Pacific.

"I have known and long admired the magical and strategic skills of Margie and Brian. This dynamic duo was my dream choice to work with and help me and an existing team of strong brand PR professionals take Ogilvy Consumer PR in the US and beyond to the next level. They are a creative force to be reckoned with," said Markson. "Separately they are skilled PR leaders and ambitious, innovative entrepreneurs. Together they bring creative genius and a pragmatic energy to everything they do. With a dedicated focus on consumer brands, trends and insights, their leadership will play an integral role in strengthening the US team and providing a roster of iconic brand clients with forward-thinking ideas."
