Titan Medical Inc. Announces Issuance of U.S. Patent

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/06/12 -- Titan Medical Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:TMD)(OTCQX:TITXF) announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued U.S. Patent No. 8,306,656.

"We continue to strengthen our patent portfolio with the objective of protecting the commercial potential of the Company's surgical robotic technologies," said Craig Leon, Chief Executive Officer of Titan Medical Inc. "This patent is a result of our earlier research that we continue to build upon as we develop and commercialize our surgical robotic technologies."

The Company now has 5 granted U.S. patents and 12 patent applications filed in the U.S. or under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The Company continues to expand its patent portfolio by filing patent applications with various patent offices as new technologies pertaining to surgical systems are developed and refined.
