RF IDeas offers EtherNet Industrial Protocol (E/IP) and Power over Ethernet (PoE) Capabilities to pcProx® line of products

RF IDeas, Inc., a leading manufacturer of in-building identification and access readers, announces more reader options for both the pcProx and pcProx Plus lines of card readers. Customers can now order pcProx Plus universal card readers that include Power over Ethernet (PoE) along with industrial standard Ethernet IP (E/IP) built-in. Additionally, the entire line of pcProx products will now be available with Power over Ethernet (PoE) options.

When combined with a pcProx Plus reader, the Power over Ethernet (PoE) and EtherNet Industrial Protocol (E/IP) technology gives customers an ODVA certified manufacturing solution in a single reader. These plug-n-play readers offer proven industrial and manufacturing capabilities that meet the stringent requirements of companies like Rockwell Automation.

RF IDeas will also offer the entire line of pcProx readers with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. The addition of Power over Ethernet (PoE) to a standard reader gives customers in any number of industries more flexibility in how they integrate identification and access into their in-building card needs. As an additional option, a Power over Ethernet (PoE) component will also be available as a stand-alone adapter for pcProx readers.

“Our Ethernet product portfolio demonstrates the commitment RF IDeas has to our customers, with special attention to the industrial and manufacturing sectors,” says Rick Landuyt, President of RF IDeas. “These plug-n-play products make Ethernet integration easy for all customers, from industrial PLCs to a multitude of in-building uses.”

These readers and adapters are ideal for implementation in industrial and manufacturing protocol situations, where communications with a PLC is necessary. The can also be utilized for numerous in-building access and identification solution needs. For more information, visit the RF IDeas website at www.RFIDeas.com.

RF IDeas will be giving technology demonstrations of these new capabilities at the Rockwell Automation Fair, in booth #528, from November 7-8 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Customers are encouraged to stop by to take advantage of the show promotion, a 60-day free trial of the pcProx Plus with E/IP and PoE capabilities.
