Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Easy Selects JDA Intactix Knowledge Base Solution

JDA® Software Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: JDAS), The Supply Chain Company®, today announced that Easy, a South American chain of home improvement stores and JDA customer since 2008, selected JDA® Intactix Knowledge Base (IKB) in the second quarter of 2012 to integrate and centralize store-level planograms to help drive customer satisfaction and greater profitability. The JDA IKB solution was selected after an extensive competitive selection process.

Easy, a subsidiary of Cencosud (NYSE: CNCO), the largest retail company in Chile, is a leading home improvement company in South America. The company has 82 branches in South America, 30 in Chile, 39 Easy and 9 Blaisten in Argentina and 4 in Colombia.

JDA® IKB is a powerful relational data repository that enables organizations to effortlessly manage retail planograms, fixtures, floorplans, store/cluster data, product attributes and performance information. Robust analysis and reporting capabilities enable you to quickly ascertain insights into complex profitability questions. Automated processes and wide-scale access to centralized data simplifies database administration and maintenance.

Easy will use the JDA® IKB solution in tandem with their existing JDA® Space and Category Management deployments of JDA® Space Planning and JDA® Efficient Item Assortment solutions.

“Providing fast, wide-scale access to the company data within one system, the Intactix Knowledge Base will help Easy simplify the time-consuming task of database administration and maintenance in order to reallocate resources to more profitable activities,” said Greg Morrison, Group Vice President, Latin America JDA Software. “As they were already using other JDA space and category management solutions, Easy understands the value that JDA brings in providing a robust and powerful state-of-the-art relational data mart to enable them to effortlessly manage planograms, fixtures, floorplans, store/cluster data, product attributes and performance information.”

“At Easy, we understand the demanding needs of sophisticated shoppers and we must provide them a local value offering at the point of sales, both from a product variety and a consumer behavior that can be translated into local assortments and store-specific planograms,” said Enrique Collarte, VP of Merchandise Planning. “To satisfy the “new normal” of today’s consumer, we knew we needed to rely on a solution that would help us make it happen for our customers without the need of having an army of space planners requiring months to determine the right assortment tactics for each category in the store. JDA solutions have given us the competitive advantage we need to drive improved profitability and increased customer satisfaction.”
