Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Backupify Co-Hosts Largest Independent Event for the Google Apps Channel Community at "gSocial 2.0"

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Backupify, the leading provider of online backup services for cloud application data, today announced the company will bring together more than 150 members of the Google Apps community at "gSocial 2.0," taking place November 12-13 in Sunnyvale, Calif. In its second year, the conference is the largest independent gathering of resellers and independent software vendors (ISV) that offer Google Apps solutions for enterprise customers.

Backupify collaborated with several of the leading Google Apps resellers and ISVs to launch the first gSocial conference in 2011, shortly after the company unveiled its own partner program. The company quickly recognized the opportunities within the channel community to share best practices that help enterprise customers embrace the cloud.

"Today over four million businesses use Google Apps, supported by a growing community of resellers and ISVs," said Daniel Stevenson, Vice President of Partnerships and Alliances at Backupify. "We saw an opportunity to support this partner ecosystem by investing in a forum for committed resellers and ISVs to connect and learn from each other. In addition to organizing this year's conference, we are also involved as a financial sponsor."

For ISVs, the gSocial conference is a cost-effective way to meet top performing Google Apps resellers, hear from industry counterparts about their successful strategies for developing market demand, and generally learn how to leverage the Google Apps Marketplace to accelerate customer adoption. The conference provides resellers with a place to network with peers and to better understand how to leverage partner relationships to scale business on demand. gSocial 2.0 is also an opportunity for resellers to hear presentations from established and emerging ISVs about how their solutions complement Google Apps to address customer issues.

"The Google Apps ecosystem is such a nascent space that any opportunity to gather with peers and learn from each other is invaluable," said David Politis, BetterCloud Founder and CEO. "We're extremely excited to be a part of this year's gSocial conference and look forward to watching Google Apps and this event grow. At the end of the day, everyone in this ecosystem is working towards the same goal of ushering more enterprises to the cloud and the companies attending gSocial are helping to bring this about."

Backupify is joined by Pipeline Deals, Apptivo, Arachno, BetterCloud, Cirrus Insight, Smartsheet, uberConference and Yippie Move as sponsors of gSocial 2.0. Channel community members can register at www.gsocialconference.com.
