Mutual Mobile CTO Mickey Ristroph Named 2012 AITP Information Technologist and CTO of the Year

Mutual Mobile today announced that Chief Technology Officer Mickey Ristroph has been honored by the 2012 Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) as Information Technologist and CTO of the Year. Ristroph was recognized at the 15th Annual IT Executives of the Year Awards at InnoTech Austin on November 8th. Under his leadership, Mutual Mobile has become a major player in the mobile industry, designing and developing award-winning iOS, Android, Windows 8 and web solutions for clients such as Audi, Cisco, Jaguar Land Rover and Google.

“Mickey and our organization have created technology that transforms the way our clients do business and changes the way people live, work and play,” said John Arrow, CEO of Mutual Mobile. “I’m pleased to congratulate Mickey on this award and look forward to working together as we continue to tap the power of mobile to provide measurable value to our clients.”

Since co-founding Mutual Mobile in 2009, Ristroph and his team have developed groundbreaking mobile innovations, including a cloud-based driver alert system that shares real-time information between drivers; a connected classroom that reduces dropout rates; and a medical solution that allows healthcare professionals and patients to collaborate to improve breathing habits. Under his guidance, Mutual Mobile has become one of the largest employers of iOS experts in the world, and was named one of America’s Most Promising Companies by Forbes.

Each year, the AITP-Austin Chapter recognizes IT leaders in the community with the IT Executives of the Year Awards Reception at InnoTech, the largest annual gathering of the region's IT executives, educators and vendors. The awards showcase the leadership behind the IT innovations created, problems solved, efficiencies gained and resources optimized. Previous winners include Andy Maag, CTO, Bazaarvoice and Russ Buhrdorf, CTO, HomeAway.
