Mozido, LLC, the cloud-based, white label global integrated platform of mobile payments, commerce and marketing, today announced that David Luther has been appointed executive vice president, global business development. Luther will lead business development efforts on a global scale, drive new growth opportunities and oversee Mozido’s sales organization. He will report to Mozido Chief Executive Officer and President Greg Corona.

Luther most recently served as North American general manager at payments software provider Distra. In this role he was responsible for operations and business growth, as well as developing, implementing and managing sales, marketing, services and alliances to grow Distra’s revenue and enhance the company reputation in the Americas.

Previously, he was vice president of Global Financial Solution Management and Services for Unisys. In this worldwide leadership role, Luther managed the company’s software and services offerings to the financial industry.

Prior to Unisys, Luther held senior level product management and business development positions at a variety of companies in the mobile commerce and financial services spaces, including Metavante Corporation, Brokat, S1 Systems, among others.
