Alisa Freundlich Joins Elkins Kalt

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/15/12 -- Elkins Kalt Weintraub Reuben Gartside LLP ("Elkins Kalt") is pleased to announce that Alisa J. Freundlich has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Alisa has been a real estate transactional lawyer for over 25 years with extensive experience in all types of commercial real estate transactions, as well as on the investment side.

"I have known Scott Kalt for many years. After working with him recently on the sale of an office building, I was so impressed with the firm's excellent service, expertise and efficiency that I jumped at the opportunity to join them," said Freundlich.

Ms. Freundlich was formerly General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Lexington Commercial Holdings, Inc., a privately held real estate investment company in Beverly Hills, California for over eight years. While at Lexington, Freundlich coordinated investments in a number of high profile projects including development of Lexington's property on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills which is now the Montage Hotel and a number of retail, office and multifamily developments. She also oversaw operations and leasing on a diverse portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties.

Prior to joining Lexington, Freundlich was Of Counsel at Glaser Weil in Century City where she focused on real estate transactional law and finance matters for high net worth clients and institutional investors.

Ms. Freundlich has extensive experience in a broad variety of real estate matters, including purchase and sale, finance, joint ventures, land use, leasing and loan restructuring. Combining her legal skills and business experience gives her a unique, practical perspective on problem solving and negotiating for her clients.

"We're extremely excited to have Alisa as part of our team. She is first and foremost a smart, top-tier lawyer with tremendous business savvy. Having been a sophisticated consumer of legal services for so many years, her addition reinforces our emphasis on assisting clients in a proactive, but practical, manner without losing sight of the individual client's objectives," said co-founding partner Scott Kalt.

Elkins Kalt Weintraub Reuben Gartside LLP is a full-service law firm founded by leading partners from nationally recognized firms in order to provide top-tier legal advice from a more dynamic platform than possible within the confines of the more traditional "large firm" model. The attorneys of Elkins Kalt have particular expertise and experience in the following practice areas: real estate, land-use, finance, corporate, securities, tax, estate planning, and litigation.
