China Digital TV to Hold 2012 Annual General Meeting on December 21, 2012

BEIJING, Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- China Digital TV Holding Co. Ltd. (NYSE: STV) ("China Digital TV" or "the Company"), the leading provider of conditional access ("CA") systems to China's expanding digital television market, today announced that it will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders ("AGM") at 12/F Dina House, 11 Duddell Street, Central, Hong Kong, on December 21, 2012 at 10:00am (Hong Kong time).

Holders of record of ordinary shares of the Company at the close of business on November 23, 2012 are entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the annual general meeting or any adjournment or postponement thereof. Holders of the company's American depositary shares ("ADSs") who wish to exercise their voting rights for the underlying ordinary shares must act through the depositary of the Company's ADS program, Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas.

The notice of the annual general meeting, which sets forth the resolution to be submitted for shareholder approval at the meeting, is available on the Investor Relations section of the Company's website at: http://ir.chinadtv.cn.
