CIVCO Debuts New Active Patient Tracking System - omniTRAX™

CORALVILLE, Iowa, Nov. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CIVCO Medical Solutions announces omniTRAX Active Patient Tracker, the next wave in navigation technology at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20110419/AQ85801LOGO)

Visible under CT and ultrasound, CIVCO provides clinicians automatic image registration of fused images for real-time, uninterrupted navigation using previously acquired CT volume data sets.

CIVCO's active patient tracker utilizes a two-part system consisting of omniTRAX, a disposable locating device, and a reusable general purpose electromagnetic sensor. Designed for use with GE Healthcare's LOGIQ E9 XDclear ultrasound platform with navigation technology, omniTRAX features multiple fixed reference points in an accurate three-dimensional array allowing physicians to quickly and accurately register patient anatomy – providing increased efficiency and reduced procedure time.

Using the LOQIG E9 XDclear ultrasound system, omniTRAX allows physicians a reference sensor for immediate image fusion and adjusts with small patient movement such as breathing. Visit WWW.CIVCO.COM to learn more.

CIVCO will showcase omniTRAX at RSNA trade show in Chicago Nov. 25-30. Visit CIVCO at RSNA booth #8309 to see omniTRAX in action. Additional show information is available at www.rsna.org.
