Fixmo Powers ‘3 Super Safe’ Personal Mobile Security Solution from 3 Hong Kong

Fixmo, the mobile risk management (MRM) company, today announced that it is powering 3 Super Safe, a mobile security and personal protection solution for mobile subscribers of 3 Hong Kong, the mobile telecommunications division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (HTHKH; HKex stock code: 215).

3 Super Safe helps smartphone users have a safe and secure mobile experience by protecting their device, data and privacy—whether they use the device personally, or as part of a corporate BYOD program. Built on Fixmo’s defense-grade mobile security platform, 3 Super Safe keeps users protected from malware and viruses, unauthorized snooping and insecure Wi-Fi connections, personal data and privacy theft, and other emerging threats associated with mobile devices. 3 Super Safe also backs up personal data to the cloud and makes it easy to locate, lock or wipe a lost or stolen device. And with Fixmo’s unique risk analytics engine, 3 Super Safe can even identify when a device may be in a lost or stolen state and automatically trigger an alert or device lock command without any user interaction required.

3 Super Safe protects:

  • Personal data: through cloud-based backup and restore of personal information, remote lock and wipe commands on lost or stolen devices, and unique “anti-loss” security protocols that lock down user data based on suspicious behavior that may suggest the device is lost or stolen.
  • Personal privacy: through anti-virus and malware detection, call and SMS filtering, secure storage of private contacts, insecure network detection and more.
  • Personal devices: through web-based device management tools that allow a user to locate a lost or stolen device using GPS, remote image capture and retrieval, and audible ‘scream’ alerts.

“If a phone’s SIM card is removed, if a certain number of phone calls are missed, or if an irregular number of SMS messages are sent, there is a reasonable chance that the device has been lost or stolen and that the owner’s data and personal privacy are at risk,” said Rick Segal, CEO, Fixmo. “With Fixmo’s unique risk analytics engine, compromise detection system, and remote locate and management capabilities, 3 Super Safe is a state-of-the-art solution for helping mobile device users have a safe and protected mobile experience.”

“Serving customer needs is always our top priority. As nearly 60% of our 3G and 4G postpaid customers are smart device users, navigating the dangers that smart device users now face, including insecure Wi-Fi connections, malware, viruses, privacy loss and data theft has become a real challenge,” said Amy Lung, Managing Director – Mobile of HTHKH. “We are excited to be partnering with Fixmo on the 3 Super Safe solution to address these issues head-on, and to help our customers be safe while making the most of their mobile experience.”

3 Super Safe is now available as a value-added service for 3 Hong Kong subscribers on a monthly subscription plan. More information can be found at http://supersafe.three.com.hk.
