By: PR Newswire
Nov. 27, 2012 07:30 AM
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Precision Sports Surfaces Inc. (Precision Sports), owned and operated by an ASBA Certified Track Builder, announced today that they have applied for a GSA Schedule and are actively pursuing federal contracts. Federal officials appreciate GSA Schedules as a means of procuring goods and services, knowing that companies on these schedules have been qualified by the General Services Administration (GSA). Precision Sports envisions providing athletic track construction and renovation services to governmental agencies, including training installations on military bases. "As a Small Business, this allows U.S. agencies to come to us directly for our products and expertise," states R. Anderson Hord, III, President and CEO at Precision Sports Surfaces Inc. He continues, "Having constructed facilities in numerous states for the past 25 years, we can get complex projects done quickly and efficiently." Precision Sports Surfaces, Inc. focuses on building track and field facilities. The Precision field crews are very experienced in installing their various running track surfaces including the REKORTAN®, SPURTAN® and MAXFlex track systems. REKORTAN® and SPURTAN® are IAAF certified systems and REKORTAN® is considered the world's premier running track surface. MAXFlex systems (latex) are constructed in multiple layers and are incredibly durable and spike resistant with a uniform thickness; many of the original MAXFlex surfaces are still in use eighteen years after they were initially installed. Comprised of high quality recaptured rubber, MAXFlex tracks are also an ecologically friendly choice. Precision Sports Surfaces are focused on installing quality sports surfaces for the most demanding clients. They recently installed a Spurtan® BS Red high-performance surface at PENN State University Behrend's campus. Other examples of the quality Precision Sports Surfaces installations are exemplified at numerous military bases. Some of these facilities include Fort Bragg, Andrews Air Force Base, and the U.S. Marine Corps Training Base at Parris Island.
