Capgemini Uses Amazon Web Services to Launch Test Drive Program for SAP® HANA and Mobile Solutions and an AWS Center of Excellence

Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting,
technology and outsourcing services, announced today that its North
America business will provide customers expanded support for delivery of
SAP® applications on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Capgemini
has used AWS to launch the Test Drive program for SAP solutions,
providing its customers with the ability to quickly and easily launch
SAP-solution based environments on AWS and realize the benefits of SAP
software on AWS, backed by the depth of Capgemini managed services.
The Test Drive program provides customers with access to AWS
infrastructure and SAP solutions that are pre-configured, enabling
customers to test their capability. Each Test Drive lab includes
complimentary AWS server time and is provisioned to customers in
minutes. Customers can quickly evaluate and explore pre-built images of
the SAP Afaria® mobile device management solution, the SAP HANA®
platform and SAP Business Suite software. Capgemini can then quickly
convert this rapid evaluation environment to a customer proof-of-concept
for development or test, with an SAP community-based support model. This
program will allow Capgemini to help a wide range of firms including
larger enterprises, startups and ISVs to evaluate, and in some cases
deploy, their SAP applications on AWS infrastructure quickly, while
providing customers with enhanced services to operate and monitor the
solutions. This can dramatically reduce the time-to-value and
infrastructure costs for customers operating SAP environments.
