MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 11/29/12 -- On November 20, 2012, the Board of Directors of Optimum Reassurance Inc. appointed Mr. Serge Goulet, FCIA, FSA, MAAA, as President and Chief Operating Officer for the company. Mr. Goulet is in charge of all reinsurance activities in Canada; he will report to Mr. Jean-Claude Page, FCIA, FSA, MAAA, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Optimum Reassurance, and President and Chief Operating Officer of Optimum Group Inc.

Mr. Goulet has been a professional of the industry for more than 20 years, and spent the last 15 years within the reinsurance sector at Optimum. More recently, he has concurrently assumed the roles of Senior Vice President, Operations at Optimum Reassurance, and of President of Optimum Re Insurance Company, our American sister company.
