Dr. Leena N. Doshi Receives Award at the Second Annual Toast the Best Radiologists Celebration Hosted by Dr. Lori Barr

HICKSVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Leena N. Doshi, executive radiologist with Doshi Diagnostic Imaging Services and 2012 Ellis Island Medal of Honor winner, was awarded the 2012 Best Radiologists Entrepreneurship Award at the second annual Toast the Best Radiologists Celebration. Doshi is recognized for her ability to create scalable delivery models for diagnostic imaging services, creating environments that are enjoyable for patients and employees and for global philanthropic and mentoring efforts. Doshi was given the award for the impact she has on young and old, ill and well around the world.

The 2012 Toast the Best Radiologists Celebration is held by radiologists for radiologists immediately before the Radiological Society of North America each year to celebrate the diverse ways radiologists are changing the world for the better. Radiologists diagnose and treat patients with illness and injury through the use of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as computed tomography (CAT scan), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, catheterization, functional imaging, nuclear medicine and x-rays. Radiologists gathered in the Crystal Room at the Palmer House in Chicago to recognize the accomplishments of the best radiologists, those who leverage the currencies of their success to serve their patients, their practice teams, their communities and the future of radiology.

Next year's celebration, the 2013 Toast the Best Radiologists Celebration, will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois. Individuals may nominate radiologists for recognition at http://www.thebestradiologists.com.
