Last night, Todd Trettin, Altius Health Plans' CEO, and Scott Rotermund, co-founder and President of WellTok, which created CaféWell, recognized 111 people who walked 1 million steps, 14 who walked 2 million steps, 5 who walked 3 million steps and one person who walked more than 4 million steps.  Trettin and Rotermund also recognized more than 30 people who shared their inspirational stories of success in the Reach for the Peaks.   Photos from the event are available at:

"I walk more than ever," said million-stepper Dorothy Bird, one of the evening's honorees. "I get out and take my puppy to the park.  I feel better throughout the day with the exercise.  I have a few people at my work in my group. We keep each other motivated to walk and have been walking regularly at break and lunch together."

"With participants walking more than half a million miles, everyone at Altius is exceptionally proud of what these people have achieved, as well of the part that we have played in offering this new, fun and effective program to get people walking," said Dr. Dennis Harston, vice president of medical affairs at Altius Health Plans.
