Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Capillary Technologies Wins the Coveted 2012 Red Herring Top 100 Global

PALO ALTO, California, December 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Capillary Technologies, a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions that help retailers to intelligently engage with customers through mobile, social and in-store channels, today announced that it has won the prestigious Red Herring Global Top 100 award. Selected from more than a thousand of the leading private companies from North America, Europe, and Asia, Red Herring has admired Capillary as a company that will positively influence the future of Customer Engagement in the Retail Industry with its array of intuitive easy-to-use solutions.

Red Herring's Top 100 Global list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring editors were among the first to recognize that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube, and eBay would change the way we live and work.

"We are very pleased to accept the Red Herring Global 100 award and to be honored as an emerging leader and innovator in the technology industry." said Aneesh Reddy, CEO, Capillary Technologies. "Our journey has been exciting and this accolade serves to reinforce our mission as we develop the next generation of consumer engagement solutions for the retail industry." Over the years, Capillary has won many laurels and the Red Herring Global 100 award is yet another recognition of Capillary's growth momentum. The company was recently also named as one of Forbes' 12 Hidden Gems.

Red Herring's editorial staff evaluated the companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy, and market penetration. This assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the track record and standing of startups relative to their peers, allowing Red Herring to see past the "buzz" and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models from around the world.

"Choosing the companies with the strongest potential was by no means a small feat," said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. "After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across Global to the Top 100 Winners. We believe Capillary Technologies embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. Capillary should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was the strongest it has ever been."
