I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Hulse, who has led the NCCCO Commission as Chairman for almost its entire 15-year existence and is currently serving a three-year term on the NCCCO Board of Directors, was selected as Chairman of the Commission in 1997; since then he has presided over 31 Commission meetings. Hulse's honesty and integrity as well as his exemplary work ethic were cited by fellow Commissioners at a luncheon held recently in his honor.

"It's been a privilege to have chaired this group over the better part of the past two decades," Hulse said. "Although it was not without some significant challenges, we always got the job done because of the extraordinary expertise NCCCO has to draw on from companies and organizations across the country that support this fine organization and its vitally important safety mission."

During Hulse's term of office, NCCCO grew from its original four certification designations to its current offering of 20 certifications in nine categories.

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) is an independent, non-profit organization established in 1995 by industry to develop and administer a nationwide program for the certification of crane operators and related personnel. Since then, NCCCO has administered over 625,000 nationally accredited written and practical examinations and issued more than 130,000 certifications in all 50 states.
