Allianz Employees Win Four Awards at WorkSafe Injury Support and Service Awards

SYDNEY, Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Allianz has celebrated huge success at the annual Victorian WorkSafe Injury Support & Service (IS&S) Awards, with four employees winning major awards, the most of any agent in the Victorian Workers Compensation scheme.

Successful Allianz employees include, Carly Webster for Excellence in Personal Injury Management, Alicia Kostakakis for Excellence in Customer Service, Amy Hulme for Outstanding New Starter and Kylie Burns for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual.

Congratulations also go to Allianz employees who were nominated as finalists, including Kim Davey for Excellence in Customer Service, Sandy Zampaglione for Excellence in Return to Work and the Victorian Workers Compensation Moe team for Outstanding Contribution by a team.

"I am absolutely delighted by the success of our employees at the recent IS&S Awards. We had six Allianz team members nominated across five categories and ended up taking home four awards, the most won by any agent.

"This really demonstrates the outstanding performance, dedication and innovation applied by the Allianz team," said Norm Cockerell, General Manager, VIC Workers Compensation at Allianz.

Chief General Manager for Workers Compensation, David Krawitz, commented, "I am extremely proud of the success achieved at the IS&S Awards by the Allianz Workers Compensation team in Victoria.

"These nominations are testament to our employees' commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients by helping injured workers recover and return to work. I would like to congratulate our winning employees and our finalists, who through these awards are recognised for their exceptional achievements and their accomplishments. It reflects a lot of hard work, empathy and persistence."

The gala award ceremony, held at Melbourne's Myer Mural Hall was hosted by Channel Nine's Shelley Craft and was attended by special guests including WorkSafe Chief Executive Denise Cosgrove, Deputy Chief Executive Ian Forsyth and Australian Paralympian Jack Swift, who had his lower right leg amputated after a workplace injury in 2006.

The IS&S Awards, which began in 2005, recognise individuals and teams that have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding service to injured workers and employers in return to work, injury management, claims management and premium management in the Victorian Workers Compensation scheme.

The awards encourage innovation and process improvements to the Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme, foster a climate and culture of continuous improvement and promote the industry as an occupation of choice.
