Forbes 30 Under 30

Forbes today unveiled its second annual “30 Under 30” listing of tomorrow’s brightest stars: 30 amazing individuals in 15 categories under the age of 30 (available at www.forbes.com/under30). Forbes collaborated with experts in diverse industries to develop a list of 450 people under 30 who are making waves today, and who are destined to still be shaking things up years from now.

The 15 categories include Art & Style, Education, Energy, Finance, Food & Wine, Games & Apps, Hollywood, Law &Policy, Media, Marketing & Advertising, Music, Science & Healthcare, Social Entrepreneurs, Sports and Technology. Some already well-known names (age included) are: musicians Adele (24), Bruno Mars (27) and Justin Bieber (18); U.S. Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas (17); fashion designers Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen (26); Miami Heat forward LeBron James (28), Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg (28), Tumblr founder and CEO David Karp (26); New York Times Reporter Brian Stelter (27); and Mashable founder and CEO Pete Cashmore (27).

These are people that you will be hearing about for a very long time. They exemplify the positive spirit of entrepreneurial capitalism that Forbes has championed for nearly a century.”

Among the panel of this year’s industry experts are: Stacey Snider, co-chairman/CEO of DreamWorks Studios; Dennis Crowley, co-founder and CEO of Foursquare; Mark Cuban, owner, Dallas Mavericks; Bill Drayton, CEO and founder, Ashoka; Nathan Paul Myhrvold, founder, CEO of Intellectual Ventures and former chief technology officer at Microsoft; Bryan “Birdman” Williams, co-founder, Cash Money Records; Danny Meyer, restaurateur; Pejman Nozad, founding general partner, Amidzad; and Jeffrey Deitch, art dealer.
