Seats Still Available for Graphic Technology Program at CDI College in Scarborough; Program Prepares Grads for Creative Careers in Less Than a Year

SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/17/12 -- With the high demand for qualified graphics and multimedia professionals in Ontario, it's a good time to pursue a creative career. CDI College is currently accepting applications for the Graphic Technology Specialist program at its campus in Scarborough.

"From print ads and logos to websites and apps, design has become an integral part of everybody's business," says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for CDI College. "As design technology continues to change, there will be greater opportunities for those with the cutting edge skills needed to produce effective design in advertising, publishing, entertainment and the corporate sector."

Students in the 51-week Graphic Technology Specialist program will develop the key skills employers demand. They'll become technically proficient with the standard design software used in the field, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students will also explore electronic design, web design and dynamic media, mastering the common software used in web design, such as Dreamweaver, Flash and ActionScript.

Graduates will be able to apply for a range of jobs, including graphic designer, multimedia developer, digital illustrator and interactive media developer. They may also find positions at advertising agencies, business services firms, commercial printers and publishing companies.
